Dr. Michael Popp, BSc, DMD, MBA, FICOI

Dr. Michael Popp is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of knowledge and to being able to offer his patients the most up-to-date and technologically advanced treatment options available in dentistry today.

Dr. Popp practices LVI dentistry and is one of the most extensively trained LVI dentists in Canada. He has attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies since 2000 and has continued to pursue the furthering off his knowledge of advanced cosmetics and neuromuscular dentistry by attending many hundreds of hours of continuing education.

Dr. Popp is also a graduate of the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute in Detroit, Michigan, and has also achieved fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantology. This training has allowed Dr. Popp to perform implant, soft tissue, and bone grafting procedures to reconstruct anything from a single missing tooth to a full mouth reconstruction of an edentulous (all missing teeth) patient. The use of CT scans and advanced bone-grafting techniques allow more predictable implantology than ever before.

Extensive Invisalign® training and certification has allowed Dr. Popp to treat many patients orthodontically without having to use metal braces or wires. Patients as young as 14 can be treated and adult patients can be treated well beyond middle age to enjoy the benefit of this revolutionary technology.

Availability of sedation options is making dentistry more approachable for anxious and apprehensive patients who have strong fears of having treatment done. Dr. Popp is trained in sedation techniques and holds his certification for ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) to be able to offer this unique option to the dentophobic. Sedation has allowed many fearful patients to receive urgently needed treatment and also to access all the benefits modern dentistry has to offer so that these patients can also enjoy the smile and comfort that many others have already experienced.
